PA closed down three checkposts in Landikotal








LANDIKOTAL: The Khyber Agency political Agent has initiated complaint cell which would deal the complaints against those Khasadar and levies personnel who were taking bribe from the  loaded trucks at various checkposts in Landikotal.

The development surfaced on Friday when three boards were  installed on the directives of PA Khyber Mutahir Zeb at Charwazgai,Ziaray and Ghakhi checkposts in Landikotal.It was  written on the each board that if any Khasadar or levies forces personnel demand truckers for money they should immediately contact on the given phone numbers. All the security personnel, manning the checkposts, were for the security of the people not to take toll tax or any other taxes from truckers. PA warned Khasadars and levies personnel deployed at the three checkposts that he would take serious action if anyone found guilty. PA Khyber urged the people to help the cause for the goodwell of the people  and contact on the phone numbers in such situation.
It was for the first time a  tribal administrator taking such action against those khasadars and levies personnel at the checkposts who openly taking money from truckers. Afghan truckers many times lodged complaints and observed strikes  against khasadars force personnel making troubles and asking for money when they enter Pakistan via Torkham border. Gul Agha, an Afghan trucker told Lead Pakistan that they had to give  at least rupees 500 to1000 at each checkpost from Torkham to before entering to Peshawar.Local people also appriciated such step of the PA Khyber.
